How do we do it?
Inspired by the countryside, wildlife and farming community of North Devon, we create our own unique images and personalised wood burned designs by drawing with a burning nib onto wood. We make original pieces incorporating our own designs and can also create custom silhouette images often from our customers own photos.
We specialise in pyrography chopping boards, platters and charcuterie boards, quirky personalised clocks, plaques and hanging signs.

We work mostly on solid beech as it has a smooth even texture and few blemishes but occasionally source other types of wood such as hevea, bamboo, oak, pine or sycamore for a different overall effect.
We occasionally use wood stain and acrylic paint to add colour to designs and can create bespoke and personalised wood burned designs and source solid wooden items of any size as required.

The creative process
When designing quirky personalised clocks or pyrography chopping boards, we work very closely with the customer, communicating regularly throughout the whole design process. We talk through their initial thoughts and ideas to gain an understanding of what they have in mind and where possible, we use their own photos to create a draft design. At this point the customer can still make suggestions and any small adjustments can still be made. Once we're both happy with the final draft, then work can begin.
